Eric Williams, 56, pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated sexual assault, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release on Monday, Nov. 18.

Williams sexually assaulted the woman at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Investigators said Williams used his penis and fingers to anally rape the victim.

The woman was sleeping during the assault, according to prosecutors. Williams was arrested after surveillance video caught him raping her.

Prosecutors said they're recommending a sentence of 12 years in state prison for Williams. He'd have to serve more than 10 years before being eligible for parole under the No Early Release Act.

Williams must also register as a sex offender and he'll receive lifetime parole supervision.

Sentencing was scheduled for Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2025.
